Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
Welcome to Skills Tutoring.
These Terms and Conditions apply when you create an account, purchase a module or subscription, access online lessons, submit work, receive feedback, or otherwise use the Skills Tutoring website, parent portal, or services.
By creating an account or making a purchase you agree to these Terms.
If you are purchasing or creating an account for a child you confirm that:
-
You are at least 18 years old
-
You are the child’s parent or legal guardian or are authorised to act on their behalf
-
You consent to the child participating in Skills Tutoring activities
-
You accept these Terms on behalf of yourself and the child
2. About Skills Tutoring
Skills Tutoring provides online educational lesson modules for primary-aged children, typically 5–12 years. Lessons may include interactive content, written activities, worksheets, submissions, and teacher feedback.
Skills Tutoring is an educational support service and is not a school, formal assessment provider, diagnostic service, or therapy service.
3. Parent Accounts and Student Profiles
Parents and guardians access Skills Tutoring through a parent account.
A parent account may include multiple student profiles. However, all purchases and subscriptions are linked to an individual selected student.
Each time you access content or make a purchase you must ensure the correct student is selected.
Parent responsibilities include:
-
Providing accurate account information
-
Keeping login details secure
-
Supervising a child’s use of the platform
-
Ensuring the correct student is selected before checkout
-
Ensuring each student has their own active purchase or subscription
4. Per-Student Access Model
Skills Tutoring operates on a per-student access model.
This means:
-
Each purchase or subscription applies only to the selected student
-
Access does not extend to siblings or other children
-
Each student requires their own active entitlement
-
Sharing access between students or families is not permitted
Misuse may result in suspension or termination of access.
5. Lesson Access and Entitlement
Access to paid content is granted only after successful payment confirmation via Stripe, Wix Stores, Wix Payments, or other supported payment providers.
If payment is not confirmed, access will not be activated.
If a payment is refunded, reversed, disputed, or cancelled, access may be removed.
6. Subscriptions
A subscription gives the selected student access to one module at a time.
-
Linked to one selected student
-
Unlocks one module per billing cycle
-
Modules unlock sequentially
-
Access applies only while payments are active
-
Subscription access ends when cancelled or payments fail
Subscriptions do not provide permanent access to all past modules unless stated otherwise.
7. One-Off Module Purchases
A one-off purchase provides access to one module only.
-
Valid for 30 days from purchase
-
Linked to one selected student
-
Does not auto-renew
-
Does not include other modules
After 30 days, access ends unless repurchased or covered by an active subscription.
8. Switching From One-Off Purchase to Subscription
If a student has previously purchased one or more modules and later starts a subscription, Skills Tutoring may use the highest module already unlocked for that student to determine the appropriate subscription starting point.
This is intended to avoid restarting the student unnecessarily at an earlier module.
This rule applies per student only. Purchases by one student do not affect another student’s subscription progression.
9. Lesson Use Restrictions
All content is for personal educational use by the selected student only.
You must not:
-
Copy, reproduce, or redistribute content
-
Share login details, links, or worksheets outside your household
-
Upload content to other platforms
-
Use materials for commercial teaching or resale
-
Remove branding or copyright notices
-
Attempt to bypass payment systems
10. Teacher Feedback
Feedback is provided as soon as possible after submission.
Depending on circumstances, feedback may occasionally take longer than usual.
Possible reasons include:
-
High volumes of student submissions
-
Public holidays or school holiday periods
-
Illness or unexpected absence
-
Technical issues or platform disruptions
-
Complexity or length of the submitted work
Feedback is educational in nature and is intended to support learning and improvement.
It does not constitute:
-
Formal assessment
-
School reporting
-
Diagnosis or therapy
-
Guaranteed academic improvement
11. Lesson Duration, Pace and Completion Expectations
The duration of each lesson or module may vary depending on the student’s pace of learning and engagement.
Lessons are designed to be flexible and may take more or less time depending on:
-
Whether all tasks are completed
-
Time spent on reading, writing, editing, and reviewing work
-
The student’s individual learning pace
-
Optional extension activities or additional challenges
Lessons are not strictly time-based and are intended to be completed at a pace that supports understanding and quality of learning.
Parents and guardians acknowledge that:
-
Completion time will vary between students
-
Lessons may not be completed in one sitting
-
Timing differences do not indicate a fault in the service
12. Student Engagement and Suitability
Students are expected to engage with lesson materials and attempt tasks to the best of their ability.
Skills Tutoring provides structured learning resources, however progress depends on student participation and effort.
Parents are responsible for determining whether the content is suitable for their child’s age, ability, and learning needs.

Your use of the payment service may also be subject to the provider’s own applicable terms and privacy policy, including Stripe’s applicable terms and Privacy Policy, available at stripe.com/legal and stripe.com/privacy.
16. Subscription Renewals and Failed Payments
Subscriptions renew automatically based on the billing cycle.
If a payment fails:
-
Access may be temporarily suspended
-
You may need to update payment details
-
Access will resume once payment is successful
Skills Tutoring is not responsible for failed payments due to bank issues, expired cards, or incorrect payment details.
17. Subscription Cancellation
You may cancel at any time via your account or by contacting us.
-
Cancellation stops future payments
-
Access continues until the end of the paid period
-
No refunds are provided for unused time unless required under Australian Consumer Law
18. Refunds and Australian Consumer Law
Due to the nature of digital content, refunds are generally not provided for change of mind once access is granted.
This does not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
You may be entitled to a remedy where a service is not provided with due care and skill, is not fit for purpose, or is not delivered within a reasonable time.
